It's a shell. That would be calling us cheating because I bought a new alternator and not the parts to rebuild it. You still have to assmeble the car. And if it is assembled, hey, if they have the money to buy it, then go ahead. Not everybody has mechanical skills but still want to enjoy the hobby.

I'd be all over that for my '66 if I had that kind of cash!

I don't think it's cheating, takes a lot of the work out of it and none of the fun. Maybe. Wish they would offer 67-68 as my first car was a 68 notch back with a 289 auto. Still have it but it is soooo rusty. Would like to get it restored so my Dad can drive it, a new body would be a huge head start.

Joe, here is a company that makes the 67-68 fb/vert shells as well as 69 - 70 fb/vert shells. They also have  the 65 - 66 shells but they are only verts as of now.

Nice, I could do a fastback. When the bird gets done I will have to look into this. In the meantime if you or anyone hears of someone working with one of these bodies let me know what they thought of them.  Thanks for the link John.

That's where Ford is getting their bodies from.

No problem Joe, we're actually thinking about getting one of the 69' fastbacks and doing a modern Boss 429 version

If time and money weren't a thing, I'd get one of the 68 fastback shells and a wrecked 2014 Shelby, and fuse them together for a modern 68 Shelby.  Sync, Nav, power Recaros, the whole 2014 transferred into the classic shell.
