High idle koer 13

Keep getting high idle and Koer13 on test.isc will work OK if I tap it lightly so I replaced it with a new one  reset gap and pcm but still the same result high idle but OK if I tap it.I can only assume that the new isc is defective?.checked throttle linkage all smooth and returns back every time.so before I buy yet another is there anything else I should look at ?.

Had this problem, many moons ago.
The throttle return spring had plenty of oomph with the engine off. With the engine running it was very weak. Never could figure out why.
It was not pressing on the ISC plunger hard enough to operate the Idle Tracking Switch in the ISC.
I finally drilled a small hole in the pad that the plunger pushes on and added a spring.

OK thanks for that will look into it as so as it stops raining if it ever stops!!! .if you can stop sending what's left of your hurricane's that would help but then again it wouldn't be England unless it's raining.

LOL,,, I added a spring also to my 3.8 a long while ago.  I always thought the larger spring down on the butterfly linkage got weak and wasn't pushing on the plunger hard enough.
oddly the problem was absent in the summer but was more evident in the winter.
