I just did a water test on the heads i got from 86T-bird i mention earlier in this thread using water.
I poured water in all the intake and exhaust valve chambers and not a drop escaped around the valve seats


i thought water would be an unfair test because it can escape from anywhere,,, but it turned out i was wrong.

these things are all assembled, i hate to take them apart.  i guess i will leave well enough alone.

has anyone ever used water to check valve seats?
im pretty happy with the results

Use carb cleaner not water.  Molecules are smaller.
