Truck looks awesome !

I wish Ford the best.
I would like to get one of those years from now when they are on the used car lots (and affordable)

Sure hope that new aluminum body doesn't create problems for Ford or the consumers. (at the body shop)

I drive a 2013 x cab F-150 STX 2wd (company truck) with the 5.0 Coyote and I absolutely love it.
Gets 22 mpg highway easy.

Its 700lbs lighter...that should help performance and mpg.

Got to wonder about durability....i guess ask that question in 2020...LOL

We'll trade one form of corrosion for another, but on the whole I think instances of perforated corrosion might go down.  Of course, this is all based on Explorer liftgates and older F-150 hoods, the new stuff is of a different alloy that we don't know anything about, because Ford isn't talking.  I could be talking out of my ass again, who knows.  What I really want to get my greasy mitts on are those LED headlights.

Semi's have had aluminum bodies for years. I'm sure there will be some bumps in the road but doubtful that there will be any major issues.
...and there was light!

Land Rovers have had aluminum bodies for years too, and it was the only part of them that didn't rust. Frames were a different matter. And since frame rust is a big issue on Ford trucks, I'd be getting that  undercoated before the ink was dry on the contract. The only real issue I've ever seen with aluminum body parts is paint retention (or lack of) and bubbling oxidation under the paint, especially around fasteners and hardware.

Wanna hope it never catches fire though...

No more 6.2 V8? Well I guess you'll have to buy a Super Duty if you want to haul a huge load.
