Man triumphs over Snowblower

My dad purchased a pretty nice Sears snowblower about 8 years ago.  Maybe used a dozen times.  I think he paid near $900 bucks for it going back 8 years.  In any case, a year ago during hurricane sandy, the unit was in my dads shed which took on almost 3-4 feet of water.  My dad was convinced it was a total loss and was ready to put out by the curb for trash.  Fast forward to yesterday, i ran over to his place to grab the snowblower.  I loaded it in the back of our Ford Escape, brought it home, added fresh gas and oil, and pulled the cord....... fired up the 1st time i pulled it.  Drive wheels worked in all speeds and directions, then i went to engage the auger in front....nothing.  I remove 2 bolts and a plastic housing and the belt is off the track.  It was kind of py so i ran to the auto parts store and purchased a suitable replacement for 9 bucks.  Hooked it up, ran it for 10 minutes solid, and i have a near new machine for a total of 20 bucks between gas, oil and a belt.  This was a good man moment.

REAL men have 4x4's and plows...LOL.

(Not saying I'm a better person...I have an AWD and no plow...well, I DO have a plow, but my dad has my tractor at his place to haul wood with it. So far we've only had a few inches. that's what SHE said! LOL)

There's three types. Growers, showers, and nude snow blowers. :rollin:

I believe his hanging object had went into hibernation.
