Something serious for once...

Yellow bullet dot com just got bought out by autoguide (of car forum-ruining repute) and there's already a bunch of guys that have left and went elsewhere.

Now, I'm not naive enough to see that the difference between here and YB is about like a bunch of old women to the mosh pit at a Slayer show, but I've got to ask; Has autoguide ever expressed interest in picking this place up?

I know we're pretty small as car forums tend to run, but I think if it came down to it, a lot of us and myself ed sure included would be willing to send money to Eric/Carm/Alex and whomever else to keep us independent and afloat.

I've seen what autogoobers did to the Corral..hell, I remember when the Corral was a place where you toed the mark, now any dumbass can join and not even get so much as second glance, so to speak.

I'm just curious...and would rather be a part of a small independent forum for a mostly obscure car that a lot of folks don't care about. And shag autoguide. With a cactus, if you please.

(sorry for the language. sort of)

I've never had any offers to buy it, nor have I ever had any desire to sell it. If I ever did pass the site over to somebody else, it'd most certainly be somebody who is here for the cars and who I would feel would keep the place as it is. I've never had any desire to monetize this site, as you can tell by the fact that it was, is, and always will be ad-free.

This has always ben a great forum. Good people, helpful, and for the most part, not abusive to new folks who just want to learn and enjoy their cars.

Awesome...the next time there's a server change, bandwidth upgrade, or what-have-you...I'd love to contribute...I've gotten a lot of good and had a lot of laughs over the years, and I'd like to help chip if/when needed in the future. :)

With that said, you can remove this thread rather than have someone cause a big to-do or have it cause a ruckus...on second thought, my concerns should have been via a PM....so my apologies Carm. Sorry dude!
