center front nose

birdie is pointy
cat is roundy

both will bolt on the fenders & core support the same, not sure on the header panel but I don't care personally,
im never adding bumper cover bolts to a header panel ever again, will use plastic buttons to align the header to bumper cover so they pop out in case of a  minor accident or front bump.

the least little jar up front and it will 8 out of 10 times effect your header panel.

the metal support plate built into the top of the bumper covers cause this

But do they interchange? Will the cat header panel work with the bird grill and headlights?

ive never considered that, building out a cat header panel with bird interior parts but im sure they would be close or work fine, and from what I understand, there is a very slight difference between bird headlamps as compared to coug headlamps

once upon a time we had a gal here with a red coug that had a full tc bird nose,,

Exactly. I know you can put a TC font on a cat, its been done! There is a member from maryland looking for a nose for a bird. I got a cat one. Before I offer it I wanted to know, on "cc net" they say there not the same.

grill has to be shortened using a bird bumper cover., and a cougar header panel
..cougars covers are notched down compared to birds... there would be a space using a bird header and a cougar cover

X2.

The whole front end will swap. Light plugs are even the same.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
