Out of Guts

I have a 351w swapped into my 84 Bird. The problem that i am having is that when it is ran hard for awhile, it will develop a miss during1/4 mile acceleration. It acts like it is running out of gas, but i dont know why it would only do it when it was hot though. Maybe the coil is failing when it is really hot.  Any help will be appreciated, thanks, robert.

A hot engine is more pr0ne to detonation.  Maybe you should try knocking a coupe degrees off the timing?

could also be the fuel pump starting to go. Check your gas pressure.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
