Yesterday i got a call from an old customer that uses us from time to time. A local CHAP that SHOP HOPS. So when i spoke to him i told him to come to the shop. He did!! This is what happened. He owns a CORVETTE. 1987. Nice car we did an engine on it 2 years ago when he drove from southern NJ with a blown head gasket!! He did not get to far and had it towed. With that he really messed up bad again!!! He noticed his brake light on and had a low fluid level in the master. With that he did not have any brake fluid and poured in power steering fluid to top it off!!!!

"WHAT" THE HELL WAS HE THINKING!!!!. And to top it off this guy is X military. Thats right a chopper mechanic. "D'OH" With that i told him T&M and we will go from there. He wants to UP date to C5 brakes and eliminate the ABS. A work order was signed and we will rip in to this disaster shortly. THOUGHTS!!!

I can top that. I knew a guy who was having trouble getting his new brake pads back over the rotors because he didn't compress the caliper piston,so he poured motor oil over them to help them slide on. Got them on, drove out of the lot and directly rear ended a car. You can't make this stuff up.

Thanks guys i thought i was in the TWILIGHT ZONE!!!

Are you kidding a guy poured oil on a set of PADS. That is DUMB>>>At least my guy went in the opposite direction his brakes locked up quite nicely!!!

I'm not fond of abs brakes. id Polly remove them if I could.

Well stacks that is exactly what we are doing

C5 conversion and removing ABS.

All the release forms have been signed and work is in progress. Here is the stuff we ripped out. All the lines hoses ABS controller master and all calipers including the discs. Here is the s C4 Garbage and soon to be converted to C5 brakes. Only draw back is the stock rims will not fit. But i have a set that will and the owner will have to buy new SNEAKERS. With that here is what i ripped out today. The entire brake system including the lines hard and flex!!!

Well at least the vette wasn't low on blinker fluid and the ler piston isn't acting up!

Travis if you ever met this guy and talked to him for 5 seconds it would amaze you that he worked on multi-million dollar black hawks. This guy was in the air force and according to him rebuilt the engines!!! EXTREMELY SCARY!!!
