These are Mustang-specific. Several people I've spoken with have ordered them...they said quality is very good. The owner of this shop found me out of the blue to tell me they had 10", 5-lug, Mustang-spec rotors in stock. I don't think he's ever had them listed on his site, but if you call or e-mail they will provide the info for you.

From my 4-to-5 Lug Conversion page:

Stock Rotors (10")

Recently I was contacted by Brian Portez of Complete Brake Service in Columbus, OH. Brian says that his company has 10" 5-lug rotors for the Fox Cougar/Thunderbird (and Mustang) in stock for about $120 US per pair. This is about the only place that has come forward about these rotors and the only place I've ever heard that carries them. They'll even ship the rotors anywhere. The price ($60/each) is very competitive. You can visit their website here or you can call 1-800-581-2339 (locally 614-221-4888), and ask for Brian.

Jason from FL writes: "Just installed the 5-lug 10 inch rotors. Fit was perfect, quality seemed excellent. Price was good at $129.00 U.S. plus shipping. I got rotors, new inner and outer bearings, seals and dustcaps. Shipped to my door in 3 business days. Thumbs up from me!"

Yeah, it's a little high in price but honestly, where else can you get them?

Eric, I belive I read in Hot Rod Magazine once that Aerostar front rotors MAY be a direct bolt-on.  That would still be the 10" rotor, but have the 5 lugs.  Perhaps it is this beast that is being touted as a "custom" brake part, the lowly aerostar rotor?

I dont think it is the same bolt pattern as mustangs, which is what most of us want. http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse.com/Ford_2___Vehicle_Bolt_Pattern_Reference.cfm

they may work. I have heard of mustang guys useing ranger and bronco II rotors with lots of mods. They are both listed under the same catagorey.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

The Ranger and Aerostar have deeper spindles, requiring a very different set of bearings. This much I know for sure. I've seen the Ranger/Aerostar rotors listed as 10.25". I've not seen them as plain 10" rotors.

ive been told by stang boys that the ranger rotors work, but whenever i say "could someone send me pics" or "id like some physical proof", they just told me to go to some website, so i can confirm how true it is

even though they are 10.25, you think that there needs to be about 1/8" clearance between the rotor and caliper bracket for them to clear
It's Gumby's fault.
