Bolts September 04, 2012, 03:11:21 PM My friend took all the bolts for door hinges, hood hinge, latches and all fire wall stuff and lost it, where good place to find all those beside junkyards? Does anyone have a kit I could order? Quote Selected
Bolts Reply #1 – September 04, 2012, 03:27:29 PM A good parts car that I suggested in the other post! Trying to buy all the little bits & pieces adhoc will be tough. Your project has a great base, just needs a ton of little stuff which could take forever to acquire, if you don't pick up one decent source to pull it all from. Quote Selected

If I recall correctly, you said that he quoted you $600 for the whole car. You have to ask yourself how many small parts will it take to eat up that $600 AND if the stuff you are not going to use is any good, can you sell them to recoup all or a significant chunk of the $600? Salvage everything you can, including wiring, connectors, clips, nuts, bolts, glass, dash, instrument panel, console(if equipped), dash, headliner, visors, etc. THEN when the carcass has been picked completely clean and any panels, floors, roof and any chassis parts that anyone wants, have been cut out, stored or sold, then call the s man and have the tattered carcass hauled off for recycling. Steel is like $200/ton right now. Quote Selected
