been tinkering with the bird

put the steering wheel, turnsignal/horn stalk, and seats (with halo headrests) out of the 84 TC i parted out in my 88 LX. next order of operation is the full length center console from the 84 with the switch panel from the 88 TC i parted out.

pretty soon i will be putting my 5.0 in that has a b303 in it. i will also (possibly at same time as engine) be converting it to 5 speed and putting either a 4.10 geared open diff bird width 7.5 or a 3.73 geared fox mustang width 8.8 in. also considering putting 4 cylinder mustang coils in the front but not sure how it would sit afterwards. i had 5.0 mustang coils in the front of my old 88 Sport and it only lowered it about 3/4 inch. i have a buddy that swapped 4 cyl springs into his 5.0 mustang convertible and actually had to cut a coil and a half to get it down to stock height...

I would think 4 banger springs in the front would be ......... way TOO low.

lol.

A T5 with 4.10's will be a bit much, unless you plan to run something like a 30" tire...

If they were really 2.3 springs, he wouldn't have needed to cut 'em.
On the other hand, after my swap to TC springs, mine didn't settle down any more than it did with the stock Sport springs. (I HAVE read that they're basically the same however..)

I'd really not even consider Fox Stang springs...they don't give the ride that SN95 springs deliver, and the SN95 springs will also drop the car a bit, but not really sacrifice too much ride quality. I've also got ES bushings throughout the front, and CHE rear arms and poly bushings in the rear. I can feel almost every irregularity, but it's not to the point of unpleasantness.
