It's funny you mention the clutch slave cylinder.  I found a F-150 forum and did a little browsing just to see what kind of problems showed up for pickups this age, and the one that stuck out to me was a clutch pedal that stuck to the floor and ended up being the slave cylinder.  Didn't sound like a fun repair.

Boss is definitely the word for that Centurion.  Never seen one of those before.

They made 'em in 1/2ton running gear too...as the pic I linked will attest to lol

There's actually one in the town I work in...a long time Ford dealership guy bought it new back in the day...he sold it a few years ago...the current owner uses it to pull his mower trailer (he has a lawn care business). Still looks boss...think the rust has been kept at bay.

you forgot the link.. lol i thought they only made them in the C-250 form.. i'd rather have a C-150 than, because i have a buttload of nice aftermarket aluminum wheels that i had for my bronco and F150's

The transmissions kinda suck in those too. If you beat on them hard you will wear them out quick. Especially towing heavy loads. The hydralic slave really isn't that bad, its just like doing a clutch.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

I decided to pass.  The rust was actually worse than it looked in the pictures, and it didn't run bad but it didn't run great either.  Thanks for all the input!
