Transmission swap and few other questions

Hi guys.
Can you tell me the length of C3 and A4LD transmission? I'm thinking about a swap, because C3 is very rare here (it was used only on really old Granadas), but A4LD is quite easy to find, because some Scorpios Mk1 are on almost every junkyard.
I know, that A4LD has electronic 4th gear, but I think It should be easy to make a small controller for it.
On the other hand, there are plenty of A4LDEs, but they are (unfortunately) fully electronical. And the 4R44E version is pretty weak, so only possibility should be 4R55E, but they are also rare in Europe.

I'm really screwed, because I have to open the tranny again :beatyoass: ... with another problem. Now, I have troubles with reverse. When the engine is cold, it works fine, but after aprox. 15 min driving I'm not able to go back on reverse. It only whines, but the car doesn't move from place.
I guess where the problem is - probably the oil leaks away from the valve body and there is unsufficient oil pressure to the clutch set.
Only one thing is a bit strange - all forward gears work well.

Some info here on what vehicles they came in:

A4LD Length here:

C3 length here:

Took a little while to find the length on the C3 but it appears the addition of the OD to the C3 to make the A4LD did add some length.
