Transmission Cooler March 21, 2011, 12:22:38 AM I have been looking at an aluminum rad to replace my crusty old stock rad. The rad I want to get has no trans cooler inlets. Will I have any issues running a seperate trans cooler on a mostly stock engine? My concern would be the tranny fluid not getting to proper operating temperature. Quote Selected
Transmission Cooler Reply #1 – March 21, 2011, 04:04:14 AM You can get thermostats as well as filters to splice inline. Lots of people run a trans cooler with a stock engine/tranny combo. Quote Selected
Transmission Cooler Reply #2 – March 21, 2011, 08:36:22 AM Put a tranny cooler in front of the radiator and run the lines to it. I had my AOD like that for a long time.....or get a different radiator. Quote Selected
