Best power sources flex a lite fan

What power sources did you guys use for the aftermarket fan setup? I was thinking of using the battery with a fusible link for the constant, and the wire coming from the stock boost solenoid for the on/off key power.

Bascically I am only using the "B", "G", and the + on the flex a lite thermostat control.

I am using the stock original fan wiring for the pusher fan I am putting on AC condensor, because I still have A/C and it keeps it simple.

I was even considering the two wires coming of the external voltage regulator (86 TC wiring) because one is constant and the other is key on/off.

Here are the flexalite instructions..

Probably not any help to you, but my TC had the fans wired to a switch mounted in the dash. Good for winter days, you could heat up the car faster, but sort of a pain. I don't recommend it, lol.
