Trac-Loc? December 29, 2010, 04:33:06 PM I found this interesting , according to the paperwork I got from Ford my car came with a " 2:73 locking rear axle ratio " Today I experienced this while *stuck* in my yard , both tires spinning simultaneously in the snow , I would say that Ford wasn't fibbing . Trac-Loc? Reply #1 – December 29, 2010, 05:26:48 PM good possibility you have a trac-lock, although i thought it was just an 8.8 thing mostly.. the limited slip junk usually starts turning both wheels after you hit 2nd.. did you hit second gear? lol Quote Selected

Trac-Loc? Reply #7 – December 29, 2010, 07:21:06 PM Turbo Coupes, Sports, and XR7s came with Traction-Loks no matter if they had a 7.5 or 8.8 differential. It's very uncommon for base, Heratige, Elan, LX, GS, or LS cars to come with Traction-Loks, even if they had the optional 5.0. Quote Selected
Trac-Loc? Reply #8 – December 29, 2010, 08:44:42 PM mine both must have been replaced with base junk, because i had both center sections out at some point and i know for a FACT they weren't trac-lock.. the 8.8 that eventually went in my xr7 was Quote Selected
