Ive gots me some wiring issues

HOKAY!! well, my battery wires are...kinda...old. i think they might be originals. now, ive had some suggestions of re-running them, get some new contacts, might make her start up better, the whole nine yards, BUT that negative battery cable is a royal snake in the tank to pull out. id rather just rip the old one out, and send the new one to a different spot, say here:

since the a/c has been removed, ive got a pretty clean connection site to the block, which is as far as i understand all i need for a ground spot.

yes?..no?..am i at least on the right track?

What's the problem with running to the block in it's original spot? Probably wouldn't hurt to run an extra.

If your car is no longer stock then your probably unaware that just hooking to your block is not totally correct.

The neg battery cable originally went directly to the block ,,,but,, mid way down the wire it was also bonded to the frame of the car.

You should also have the web mesh ground from your heads to the fire wall.

Back to the battery though, you should bond to chassis then block.  The factory look has an inline lug crimped on the wire about 15'' down but the conductor continues on down to the block termination.
