I have tried collecting on them a couple times. They want personal information. They will not give you a number to call, or the name of their lawyer. Darn.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Well, due to the death of someone I didn't even know I was related to, I am expecting a $10,000 check from Nigeria any day now. I would be willing to turn the check over to them and they could keep the extra. That car would totally be worth it.

:laughing::rollin:

oh boy thats funny

Dear goodazgold909,

Hello. I was wondering if you could give me some more info. on this car. In the ad it states it is a 3.8 v6, yet a quick run of the VIN and it tells it to be a V8 car, (well, as do the 4 spark plug wires running to both sides of the motor...) Please clarify if possible. I was also wondering if you could tell me what kind of issues the driver door was having, and if maybe you could send me some additional pictures. Also, why are you asking so much? Is it a special edition, or just a run-of-the-mill Fox Thunderbird with 225,00 miles? I ask because I am interested in the car, not to try and nitpick, but 4500 (or possibly more) for a car with 225,000 miles is quite a chunk of change. And lastly, is there any rust on the car? Thanks.

And here is what was replied

Hi and thanks for the question
I'll try to fill in more details on the car tomorrow once we get more pics etc.
you are correct it is a V8 and has been worked on.
Thanks and I'll check the ad and update if necessary
Regards,
Steve

Doesn't seem like a scam so far. Just seems like a guy who has a possibly modded (although I can't really see it in the engine pic) V8 T-bird who thinks it's worth a lot more than it is, and doesn't seem to be "his" car based on the reply I got. It was too vague, like the "owner" picked it up at an auction and is still going through it.
