O.K........ I JUST got back from having the Sport weighed with a 1/2 tank of gas,no person in the car. First, the Sport's details.....

-5.0
-mini starter
-5 speed
-aluminum driveshaft
-functional A/C
-8.8 w/CHE control arms
-17x9 and 17x10 wheels with 255 40 17's and 275 40 17's
-dual power seats
-I just added sound deadener to the roof, trunk, floor, inner firewall, console and dash (actually applied it all over the back of the dash and console)
-BBK headers and Pyp's O/R x-pipe
-40 series Flowmasters
-nothing in the trunk except the 10 disc cd changer and the beauty panels

The official weight, stamped on the sheet (they have to verify it) is 3,340 pounds. Not bad at all. Especially after just adding all of the sound deadener and passenger side power seat equipment. The Sport was in the mid to high 3,200 pound range before that. I was very pleased with those numbers.

I hauled a stove into the syard with my festiva a while back... came out to about 1850 lbs empty. Probably pushing close to 200hp now. Not much of it is getting to the ground though unfortunately.

My TC was 3600 with me and the gf and a full tank o gas. Came to about 3200 empty after some math.

88 crown vic wagon is 3880lbs with a 200 lb driver. I think that someones numbers are screwed up somewhere, cause that car feels like more then 200lbs.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
