grille interchange

I recently bought an 84 Thunderbird drag car. A section of the grill is broken.

Will any grill from 83-86 fit or is it 83-84 and then 85-86?

I was looking on ebay at a few grills and the 85-86 is listed as different. Looks the same though.

Anyone here have a nice chrome grille?

Also, will the entire nose piece from an 87-88 Turbo coupe fit the 84? I know the front edge of the hood is the same, but will the fenders match up? The bottom edge of the bumper cover is the only body/paint issue with the car. There are several cracks and gouges caused by tie-down straps. I thought about just getting a Turbo Coupe nose and just doing away with the chrome grille at some point in the future.

83-84 grilles are interchangable on the 85-86 cars.

The 87-88 nose will bolt onto the earlier cars but you also have to swap out the front bumper reinforcement or beam. This will directly swap as well. There is also an issue of the bumper cover molding strip not aligning with the 83-86 moldings and character lines.

83 - 86 will fit but 83/84 is different than a 85/86. The openings on the  83/84 are more square openings while the 85/86 openings are a bit rounded
