Hood Reply #30 – January 10, 2010, 12:19:36 PM Quote from: 88FoxBird;305749Look for an 87-88 Thunderbird turbocoupe in a junkyard or find someone with a hood from one for sale. It will bolt right up.Thanks for the info! Quote Selected
Back from the body shop! Reply #31 – January 10, 2010, 04:46:35 PM Be sure to grab the hinges too, just in case. It bolted right up to my 85, but when I had it on both of my 83s, the hinges didn't mate up to the holes in the hood (I had to use the TC hinges in that case). Plus the TC hinges are spring loaded so you won't need a prop rod.Yes, this hood has been on 3 of my cougars now, heh. It will stay on this one for good though. Quote Selected

Reply #33 – March 19, 2010, 11:59:03 AM Little progress report-Just got the ol' black cat out of winter storage (I hope not too soon!)I got the XR-7 emblems on, fog light brackets painted, brackets and fog lights installed (one is a little crooked in the pic, but it looked straight in person, hmm), and I even got in my shed dug out my 1990s stylin' GTS light covers! Then the covers have plastic connectors (like velcro, but stronger) that hold them to the brackets. It feels sturdy, but I get nervous that they'll fly off on the highway (even though it's never happened). Quote Selected

They just look so bad right now, chrome is shot, rubber is all weather beaten, etc. I really have to spend some time restoring them... But I will :)I need to get my mudflaps on too, I might do that today. Quote Selected
