It breaks my heart to have to sell it! Only reason I can not keep it is because I have a baby coming and need a more practical car for toting a baby around. Otherwise I would be keeping it.Here is the lowdown, I purchased this car the beginning of the year. It was purchased form Jim L here on this board, he bought it from a place in Maryland. I have been driving the car the past 8 or 8 months with out incident. The car has 169,6XX miles on it and runs quieter and smoother than a lot of newer cars I see. The car drives straight as an arrow with out rattles or shakes.Since I got this beauty home I did a complete motorcraft tune up, front brake pads. Rear brake rotors(NOS ford pieces), ceramic pads and raybestos reman calipers. Also put new ford tie rod ends on. Had 4 new kelly springfield tires and and the alignment done. It passed NY inspection with no problem.Passenger side strut mount was replaced, drivers side does squeak a little bit and could use being replaced. The blower motor needs replaced because its burning up the switches. The resistor was already replaced but the motor is apparently bad.The paint is great for a 21 year old car, it cleans up real nice. The snowflake wheels are nice and clean, not perfect but look good. The car is an awesome example of a survivor.I am looking to get around 2500, I am willing to negotiate but I am already loosing money on the car @ 2500.http://rides.webshots.com/album/574421975pszMhh Quote Selected

87 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe 5 speed Reply #7 – October 30, 2009, 01:37:44 PM Don't sell it. Seriously. I thought the same and sold my 98 Cobra to get a family car when my son was coming. 6 months into not being able to find something worth buying, I realized I had been toting him around in my 95 Mustang without issue. I have since purchased a 2000 GT and it's the same interior wise and I don't have any problems toting him around. The only issue is I cannot fit a stroller in the trunk due to the small opening, but you shouldn't have a problem with the 'Bird. Keep it!!! Quote Selected
