Hello there!!!! December 07, 2009, 10:02:11 AM Hey guys, long time no see!! I've been friggen BUSY lately. I don't know if I told you guys I bought a 2000 durango slt with a 5.9 fully loaded for 300 bucks totaled by my buddy(it was his moms haha). I rebuilt it and got it all set, the first voyage it had, was driving me down here to PA for college!! Ive been in WyoTech for bout 3 months now. This dead end town its in is horrible but I'm dealing with it. Everythings been ok, other then I cant find work, and my trans is about dead in the durango(5k on a rebuild....... Thats what I get for getting water in the cooler lines..). Well Ive been driving my dads bird since my trans is out and ive been trying to figure out if I want to be bold and try and rebuild a trans myself for the first time ever, or just slap it back in and drive it(traded the trans, and ran into issues, now im just trading back tomorrow). The bird is being a BIATCH!!! but im trying to get her right for my dad(will make a HELP thread in a minute)but she just got a new stock replacement exhaust, all new brakes, new endlinks, and inspection. But hows everyone doing?? If you havnt guessed by the fact im driving a dodge, I blew up the AOD in the lincoln, and my mom forced me to send it to the yard.... Shes dearly missed and I will own another fox before i graduate!! Quote Selected

Sorry to hear the LSC went to the boneyard.Wll I should have known better and drained the trans before I ran it, it only ran a day with water in it, and that was maybe 20 miles but that was enough, pan was FULL of metal and clutch. Since then its just been going down hill. I will get her done right though, I got a decent amount into the truck(alot less then buying a used one thats for sure!!), and I love it, and by the time im done it will be almost all brand new, plus its only 105k on it!!And yea I tend to jump into things prematurely, im slowly gaining patience, and as far as the bird, its been like this awhile, I just am recruited to fix it since my dad works monday-saturday. That and I have my mustang and durango both on jackstands in his garage both missing transmissions so I kinda owe him haha. Quote Selected

I gotta graduate college and get me a good job so I can pay back my loan as fast as humanly possible because I dont wanna be in debt for the rest of my life!! I want me a new SHO hee hee.And when I had the nose off, there was a period of a few weeks the trans cooler lines became uncovered, and my guess is that was enough to get the water in there. There was a stain in the pan from the water, and when I dropped the pan it was pressurized... I flushed it, drove it around, flushed it again. Ran lucas both times but it was too late, it was already wounded. The 550 mile trip to PA pulling in and out of OD took its toll as well. Im hoping if I throw this big ass trans cooler I have and a fresh fluid swap with 2 bottles of lucas it should last me for a little. Quote Selected
