Ghost stories October 31, 2009, 05:50:29 PM Since it is Halloween . I thought members would like to share there personal experiance with ghosts or supernatural. I will share my experiance with you guys. From 2005-07 I rented an old place in South east Calgary Alberta.Late One night i was on the internet reading a Firebird forum and I saw a reflection in the glass screen . I turned around and for like 2 seconds I saw a woman in what i would call a Ukranian type of dress glide down the hallway and disappear into the wall . I remember the hair on the back of my neck stand up and an instant chill on my whole body. I only told my wife as I did not want to scare my older daughters but later as we lived there my almost adult daughter saw the same woman once too. I never saw the ghost again the 2.5 years I lived there . However Very often above the garage there was a giant storage area and late at night you could hear what sounded like someone walking and someone moving furniture. I would go up there and there was nothing. The other thing was the house had plenty of sunlight that could get inside but no matter how hard you tried you could not grow any type of plant in there as it would soon die. Also my now 13 year old Szht su dog would often stare at walls and closets. Thanks for listening to my experiance . Lets hear some more!! Quote Selected

Ghost stories Reply #2 – October 31, 2009, 07:26:14 PM I dunno if it would be a ghost story, but I've got a weird one. About 10 years ago, when my niece was 3 or so, she woke up in the middle of the night screaming her head off. My sister could not console her for quite a while. She eventually went back to sleep. I did not know anything about the late night tantrum until the next day, when I found out a family friend's house was gutted by fire that night. When I went over to survey the damage the friend was showing me around inside, and it was absolutely destroyed. Everything in that house was charcoal. Even the light bulbs melted in the ceiling fixtures, and the livingroom TV was nothing but a glob of melted glass. They were asleep in the bedroom and only managed to get out with the nighclothes on their backs. Their bed and all belongings were burned. I was looking at the bed and something caught my eye, a bit of brightness amid a sea of charcoal. In the middle of the bed (which, as I mentioned, was burned to a crisp), was a wallet-sized photograph of my niece. It was soggy from the firemen's hoses but was untouched by the fire. It was the ONLY thing that survived in that bedroom. Neither the friend nor his wife could explain why that photo would have been on the bed. When I told my sister about finding the photo she freaked, telling me about her daughter's late night episode. It was just too strange to be coincidence. The family friend has the photo framed and sitting in his bedroom now, so my niece can keep watching over him and his wife... Quote Selected

Ghost stories Reply #4 – October 31, 2009, 08:26:08 PM I worked at a radio station in the late '90s. It was housed in a 100-year-old building that, from what people told me, had quite a history.I used to go up into the attic to put away old tapes and files, but I would also snoop around and look at stuff. I recall seeing gas lanterns sticking out of the walls, original to the building. There was one night where I was "running the boards" at 4:00 am and I was the only person in the entire building. I heard the walls creaking every few minutes, which I accounted to strong winds. When I went down the stairway to get some coffee from the first floor break room, a shadow swept across the walls (or so I may have imagined). Anyway, I got to the break room and said out loud, "I swear this freakin' place is haunted." As soon as I had said that, a group of air bubbles made their way into the water tank on the water cooler.Coincidence with late-night fatigue? I think so, but I was really freaked out at the time.Edit: Now that I think about it, if that building had any entities or spirits, they must have hated us. We would frequently take turns farting into the microphones in the production room and record them. Then we would put all the farts together in the system and play it really loud.I'm sure they did everything within their power to try and scare us out of that building. Not that I believe any of that stuff...
