Convert 1984 Cougar to Drag car

I know it has been a long time since I last was on this forum.  I have a 1984 Cougar XR7 turbo that I have been working on restoring.  I have a freshend transmission for it and some time ago I picked up a 2.3 liter Turbo 4 cylinder of it.

I have poked around on it for years and finally I have decided I want to go a different direction with it.  My thought is to strip it down and make a drag car out of it. :burnout::burnout::burnout:

My thoughts would be to install a BBC with a powerglide transmission.  My question is this.....and maybe this is not a realistic project idea, but where can I get information to help guide or decide on doing this conversion.  Specifically on things such as chassis and powertrain installation tips.

If you think I am crazy, just don't be too harsh on me lol

The owner of teamz suspensions supports the board and is an active member there. Also, if you want to do some reading, you will re-think that BBC and power glide. Alot of guys are swapping those out and going SBF and c4. If you care to do some reading there, and keep your mouth shut till you learn the lay of the land, some guys there are running high 10's to low 9's with stock blocks and only a few grand into the motor.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
