cam difference

Any difference is 86HO and 89HO cam?  Swapping into the SO engine.

My 89 cam has been setting at a angle in a box of parts for years and getting "maybe" beat up a little.  Any concern for bending or such?

My buddy will give me a 86 stang cam for free, which should I use?

1986-early 1988 cams have 10* less advertised duration on the intake lobe and as such have a slightly more agressive grind.  The exhaust lobe is the same as the MAF cams(late '88-'95).  Power and torque should be marginally better with the early cam...so marginal that you won't notice it.

Good luck,
Don
