changing gas tanks

I'd like a little more fuel capacity.  I can get the tank modified but will probably be a little pricey.

Will the 87-88 gas tank fit in a 83-86 TC?

I'd think it'd work without issue, but you may need the filler neck and defiantly the plastic tank guard and straps...

Might want to double check, if the sending unit and fuel pump hookups are the same. I'm trying to remember, I once put an '86 gas tank in an '84, and had trouble with the sending unit. I think the '84 had a seperate unit, and the '86 had it all in one, or yice-versa, been awhile..lol.
