Snowflakes!

I finally got around to restoring and installing the snowflakes. I was gonna paint 'em white but decided on a satin aluminum finish. This was a more practical than aesthetic decision: White snowflakes would've shown brake dust and been harder to keep clean. With blacked-out holes the brake dust will be virtually invisible :mullet:

Anyway, here she is with her new boots on. The 16" wheels and 225/60R16 tires really fill up the wheelwells compared to the 15" 10-holes and 225/60R15 tires:

I likely:D.

I ended up painting the holes on mine silver like they are stock. It's ok as I wipe down the wheels after every drive;)

Yeah, Tom, but it's all in the details. Where you converted a TC to a 5.0 Bird, I converted a 5.0 Bird to a TC. Well, looks wise, anyway... And, of course, suspension/brakes/interior/rear end :hick:

...and Thunderjet302, you're just crazy . Not that there's anything wrong with that...

I agree with your treatment of the wheels, and the all-white car looks good with them.

Time to up date the pics in your signature, the difference is pretty striking.  Nice job!

I will say again you just can't beat snowflakes for looks on 87/88 birds. I will agree there are some beautiful wheels out there can look great too, maybe just as good, but not better. Awesome job!!

But any way you slice it, it's still a white bird with snowflakes...

BTW looks good, just raggin' on ya... You've likely put more effort into yours, than I did swapping in the 5.0...
