if he was clocked at 176 it wasn't with a stock motor. There is no way. And if he was, i wouldn't want the car just due to the rpm's that thing must have been at, and how long they were there to reach that speed.

Thats probably true. I never thought of that. Thats about what, say 110 mph off the top of my head. Thats really nothing to brag about, I mean my v6 could have done that. lol

well i stare at one every time i sit in my cougar. 110 MPH is about 177 KM/h, so sure i've done that speed too then LOL.

nothing like saying "i won't take less than $4000 for my car because it's really fast"..... that's like saying "i want $4000 for my car, but don't mind that i've dogged the hell out of it"

heh, this reminds me about the mx5. from a standing start i can get it up to around 90-95 and it just humms like its on a limiter.. which it isnt. the speedo goes to 140.. i was easily at 125.. when i saw that i backed off but i could have gone faster although closer to that "lose it" territory. i swear its a LOT like driving one of these boats with major weight reduction.

OP- he's probably selling his car b/c he was CLOCKED at 170+ i dont know anywhere thats legal so getting clocked is the same as gettin caught. he prolly lost his license and needs 4000 to get something he'd wanna REALLY care about or maybe pay fines with intrest rates he sat around at? 4000 is bullshiznit.

That's funny there! There's no way that bird could make it to 140, let alone 176! I had my old blue '86 turbo coupe up to 130ish and it was pretty heavily modified..........the motor in that car looks bone stock to me. I think it is worth $900........especially with that many mile on it. I think he is in for a reallity check.
