i'm trying to remove the chrome from my grille so that i can satin black it and cannot get it off the middle part. i got it off the face and sides with a pocket knife, but the center is being a pain. are there any tips for this?

Heat from sanding helped me. But I am also not worried about a few dips in the plastic.

Blasting it might work. Whatever you end up doing I dont see it being quick or easy

schotchbrite and some elbow grease should do it.

scotchbrite? this is actual chrome, has a layer of copper and all...

I peeled it off of my grille a long time ago.Took a long time,though.Very tedious work.

worked for me when i did mine. sandpaper would work as well.
