Satin Black Bird April 11, 2009, 09:13:02 PM anyone have any pics of a satin black (or matte, not completely flat) 87-88 t-bird? or any fox bird for that matter.started doing mine tonight. just spray bombing it cause i'm cheap and dont really care if it's perfect as anything is better than oxidized factory paint. got the first coat on the deck lid, was dark when i finished it though, going to get up in the morning and finish the deck lid. Satin Black Bird Reply #11 – April 15, 2009, 11:58:14 AM i started on it and got the decklid blacked but not cleared yet. have got lots of compliments about the decklid. have been sick ever since the night i did it so i havn't messed with it anymore.i think i am going to pull the decklid off before i put the last coat of black on it so that i can get a smoother coat on it. seems like the paint i'm using sprays better in the vertical position.
