Think I made a good trade

I traded my Draglites, that I traded my Ponies for, for some stuff last night.

I got manual steering rack, lowering springs and another 302. Plus another connection. That was the most valuable piece of the night. spent about 2 1/2 hours just bullshiznittin looking over the stuff he had at his shop.

Im pretty sure that the adapter I need is on the rack too! Plus he is going to give me the shaft he was running before he took it off.

The 302 is out of a truck and has a solid came in it but is a roller block. It needs rebuilt, possibly some machine work, but it will be a good start for my 2nd build. He told me he could get me an Explorer 302 for $300. HELL OF A DEAL!

I think I did pretty  good.

I can get explorer 302s for about that price. Luckily motors aren't over expensive out here.

Looking at double that usually. I guess I should add I traded Ponies for those Draglites. I would have only got around 90-100 for the Ponies, so for 100 I didnt come out too bad. Plus I can sell the rear springs.

Sounds like you got a  good deal. Same here for the explorer motors, they are about double that too.

I wasnt trying to rain on your parade, I was just stating what those motors go for around here in BFE. You got a really good deal.

Understand. Most of the good deals I find are in East Jesus. Ends up not being worth the gas and time for the parts. This guy is really close and builds a lot of cars. He had 6 Stangs at the shop and 3 more were at home. Only 7 were his. I hope to keep dealing with his since he goes though parts pretty quick.

The thing about Stang guys that I like is they always seem to help another fox owner out. Ever notice that? I've always had good luck talking to other fox owners. Never met a mean one.

300??????????? wow i wouldnt pay that much for a motor you need to rebuild......... i could find a running explorer motor with a 90 day warranty right now for 180bucks,..... if you lived closer i could show you where, its about 220 for complete motor and trans.........

Wow, pretty good deal. Yeah I've been contemplating an explorer motor for my car at some point. I'd like to get that going but priorites are making me fix the turbo motor and finish body work so....

No that is for a motor I can hear run before I buy it. He has the hook up at one of my favorite yards. The one that needs rebuilt is the one I got in trade.
