Since it just sits on a rotating platform at say the New York Auto Show where people can't touch it, so they can gauge people's reaction if it gets good press and good reactions usually some of those things come into play down the line. Obviously the hadn't gotten down to designing interior yet at that point.

It's my favorite Lincoln concept car from the day I saw it when I was online for the first time in 1996 :) From what I found over the years there were two of these cars and one was fully driveable!
Sentinel show car was black at first (on NAIAS I guess) and than replainted grey/graphite for other auto shows.
But there's another black Sentinel probably based on Town Car long wheelbase frame. It's almost the same, but eg. center section of hood doesn't go all way down, front bumper has a little diffrent shape, marker lights are different and everything actually works in this car :) I had a chance to talk about this concept with a guy who drove it around that parking lot and took pics (lost contact now). It's owned by unknown Lincoln collector. I also found a story that it was built for Jack Telnac, but it's unconfirmed.

And I'm sure that if this one will be for sale it is worth $100K or even more, don't you think? Of course only if it has Modular DOHC under the hood

If you think of Chrysler Phaeton, it was in 1997.

I wonder if they will air up the rear tire for an extra fee...

100k is stupid, but the fact is there is no shopping around.

Concept are cool but if I am going to spend a stupid amount of money on a car i will never drive I would look at something like this

Now I would need a lot more than 100,000 to even think about trying to buy any of Ed Roth's cars, but if Im going to spend money on a decoration I rather it have history and meaning.

$100K for the driver MAY be worth it to someone, but $100K for a shell seems a little crazy to me. Obviously, I am not a rich guy with unlimited disposable income, but even rich guys like to think they are getting a good value. In today's market, an empty shell isn't worth $100K. My $.02.
