Clutch pedal question (cable clutch) Reply #15 – March 04, 2009, 05:41:31 PM Install a BBK Clutch quad and be done with it. You can order just the quadrant I believe. Clutch pedal question (cable clutch) Reply #18 – March 05, 2009, 05:57:15 PM I had that kit originally. I recently swapped out the clutch cable with one purchased through Maximum Motorsports (an FMS one). The BBK cable was very stiff and seemed to bind. The pedal was always hard (my leg would start to burn in traffic!). It got to the point where I couldn't power shift. When I swapped them, I measured the difference and the FMS unit was about a foot longer. This allowed me to route the cable much more easily. It ended up being just a big loop, no problem getting it around the motor mounts and exhaust as I had with the BBK. The difference in how it feels is dramatic! It feels like a hydraulic clutch now. A draw back on the FMS cable is: it's not adjustable. Sorry for the late post. Know you already purchased it. My issues could have been related to the hamfisted installer (me). I had never seen a clutch cable installed on a Fox body prior to my experiece, so I was going in blind. I'd suggest being careful of where you attach the cable bracket as it could potentially cause it to bind. The FMS unit does not have the bracket.Mark Quote Selected
