new to the site,hey everyone

hey everyone ive been enjoying this site reading lots of posts on here as i was in the process of owning my first cat, which i got today!:hick: its an 88 xr7, the interior is nice, but the body needs some help,it defenitly needs an alignment, and some tires.my buddy hooked me up with some mustang 10 hole wheels so im excited to get some nice tires on them, tomorrow i have to install the new fuel pump so i'll take some pics while im at it.im also installing headers that i got with it.it was a project that the guy never went far with it cause he got locked up.he also gave me an electric fan kit he put together, and i was wondering if its worth using it or just leaving the clutch fan?:burnout:

Electric fan is a nice upgrade. You said headers but didnt mention any other exhaust parts. To do headers you will need to get an H or X pipe for a Fox Mustang, or have pipes bent. Headers will NOT bolt to our stock exhaust. Just figured I would let you know before you dug into it.

Welcome

well no not for right now, my plans are simple, and basiclly get it running good.but thinking of a future HO swap.

well yesturday was fuel pump day,,,sorry about pics, i will have some shortly,i ran out the house yesturday and forgot the camera.well, when it came to this task, it was a bit of hell, the car is from up north, and the salt did a number.the clips that held the gas tank straps broke quickly, so after trying and trying, the clips/bolts, weren't coming off, so i cut them off.there was so much rust under the car that any movement caused and a shower of rust dust would rain down, lol.after removing the tank, getting the pump out was a bit of a fight, but it came out with some patients.but at the end it worked out, i made custom little brackets for the straps with new bolts/nuts to hold the tank safe, and it worked perfectly.took it out for a spin, and it rides nice.the engine got just over 150,000 mls on it, and looks ok, very quiet too.today getting some tires on it, cause the ones it has are bald and bad, it still needs an alignment, but im just bringing it home today, and letting the rain give it a bath.i should get pics today or tomorrow.
