Know how ya feel.........

I got a ticket for doin a 65 in a 45 on thanksgiving day last year by a LA state trooper. Not a half hour after I went and paid it 3 months later I get pulled over again and was told I was doin a 74 in a 60 (my speedometer said 64 but it was probably wrong). When I got home I told my parents I got busted by a state trooper again they told me, and I quote "If you didn't make your car look like a race car you wouln't get pulled over."

Oh well! I still think I got set up considering it was an my way to work after leaving the courthouse to pay a previous ticket!

I'm the same way.
2 seatbelt tickets this year.
1 ticket for 36 in a 25 with my 88 t-bird.
1 ticket for 86 in a 65 with the bird.
1 warning for a cracked windshield.
plus a  load of warnings.

never got pulled over in anyother car I have owned except for my bird and cat.

Could be worse.

Back in '01 got a speeding for 69 in a 55, in the Bird(was 51), and in '94 got the same ticket in the
5.0 Stang. Got out of both of em' by getting a speedo calibration and showing it to the judges..

just a "running a red light" ticket.

it was just turning yellow as i was crossing the stop line. in no way would it have been safer to try to stop. i was not speeding or anything. they have been eyeballing me since they noticed me driving the car. a couple times they have driven by and paused in fromt of my house and car only do slither off. i live on a dead end street. i DO have a history with them.

its been ALMOST 3 years (should be 3 years in june) since i got my last ticket. if i make the 3 year mark with no offenses i get safe driver points and basically my old driving record goes into a "start over neutral state" any offenses before then (like this one) and my insurance goes up and i have to wate another 3 years in order to go to a neutral state. im a step 24 right now. was a 30. 15 is neutral (where all drivers in MA start. 9 is the lowest.

obviously im going to fight it. if i lose it starts all over. s...its so discouraging...i was doing so good coochfooting it around too

Try having your first ticket being a reckless op that was a real fun one to fight.

I was accused of doing 80 in a 40, i did a driving class and my insurance company dont know, that and about 355 in cour and lawyer costs.

Got pulled over in front of my high school senior year.  In Nebraska, where I bought the car, you can have tint at 75% which it had.  In Iowa, only 40%, which I didn't find out until after of course.  Any, I see a cop sitting at the tennis courts near one of the exits at the school parking lot.  A little Honda with Nebraska plates sitting ahead of me squeals his mighty 13" tires and takes off.  Cop does nothing.  I'm thinking, 'go get him', but he sits there.  Knowing I have to be at the pool for scuba lessons I slowly pull out of the lot, get twenty feet and the cop turns his lights on.  I pull over, he gets out and says 'any idea why I pulled you over'.  Being fresh out of boot camp (split-op program done in mid 90's) and being a pen 15y prick I reply 'well, I wasn't speeding, so it must be because I have a red sports car and you need to fill your quota before shift change?'
NOTE: to all the people on this board in high school yet, add that to the list of things you don't say to a cop.

Anyway, the cop tells me 'put your window up this high smartass' and then slams his meter down on my window.  I told him if he breaks it he's going pay for it, hey I was pissed.  Ticket and a fine is what I got.  Cop was a deuche bag that isn't on the force anymore.  What a dick.  Bottom line is, these cars stick out like a sore thumb, especially when they are in excellent shape with a hot paint job.  You will be watched and followed, just have to accept it.

Now you know why my Bird has original paint and stock wheels(although I'd really like to have nice set of wheels on the car).

You are lucky i spent like i said about 355 in court and lawyer fees not including the 75 for the remedial class to keep my insurance company from knowing about it. So in the end it was a 4 point offense but i got it knocked down to two points. Well the remedial class strikes 2 points from your record so in the end my insurance company had not the clue that this had happened.

Somehow I had a feeling last night that I would see a reply from you by morning. :p

Chalk it up to differences in perception, I guess. (and those never go over well around here) Speeding significantly, and being pulled over for speeding, is something I see as having left behind in my early 20s. Now it's 5-10 over at the most, just like everyone else around here. (even the cops will tell ya that)

Well I don't normally speed(much), I drive a company van 80-200+ miles a day.. Only ticket ever on company time was in '75, got together with a big ole Chevy Kingswood station wgn. Made a left turn and got clipped in the rear and the little Dodge van went over on its side. Got one for failure to yield.

Did I tell you about the time I got one for 49 in a 35?? Was in the 428 Cobra Jet Fairlane, was gettin ready to pull 2nd gear(was still winding 1st) when I spotted the cop.
