So...i think i'll make the investment and get some pistons.....
i wish i had the t5 trans, til then im stuck with the AOD =(

Smart move on the pistons... But once you start making real power, go for a Tremec, I consider a T5 junk...

Note... If you can come up with a set of Trick Flow heads, they will have sufficient clearance for any cam you'd want to run on the street(the Stage-1 TF cam is sweet)... I've been using a set on my flat topped 5.0('86 HO), for over nine years... Aluminum aftermarket heads are a world apart from the E7s...

I missed a shift and went WAY to high on the revs.Since then, the engine has been great.I've ran the car since pretty hard, done some tire spinning playing around, and haven't had any problems at all.I have revved the engine to 6300 with no bent valves

Vinnie the factory EEC rev limiter is 6250, you ain't going past that without a chip...

Sorry, missed the rpm's by 50.It happened in a flash.I don't think it was actually the rpms alone that did it,but the speed in which I revved it to those rpms.LOL.All in all,it doesn't matter now. It's repaired, running strong and looking good. All is well. The car is a blast to drive, and one day, down the road, another engine will sit between the fenders, but for now,I'm happy.
