getting tach to work again?

I put a crane hi-6r in my turbocoupe, and now my tach doesnt work.  Do I just need a tach adapter, or do I need to find a way to tap into the tach wire to attach to the tach terminal on the ignition box?

88 t-bird tc - 14.97 @ 90  IHI 18 psi + k+n filter...so far - NOW HX-35 @25psi - 12.75@112    348rwhp/395rwtq

ok, well I dont need this anymore.  Got it to work again with an msd tach adapter. $27 fix
