"Cool Hand Luke".My favorite Newman movie. He was awesome. Most of the younger guys don't know what "Real" actors are. Most of them these days are just a flash in the pan.You won't find many that have the lasting power like Newman and a few others...very few.

Yep, whether playing Coolhand Luke, Fast Eddie Felson, Butch Cassidy, etc he was one of my favorites...

You guys know he donated all the profits from his spaghetti sauce sales to charity???

yea and interesting fact, martha stewart helped the recipe for his sauce.  but i look at borday (sp?) he was backed by newman and whent from champcar to f1.  i feel his racing contributions outweigh hollywood.  not to discredit his acting, great actor.

I agree. It was a real downer hearing this news. And no, I wouldn't diminish his acting career, but to know he was still actively racing at his age is monumental. He was a semi-retired actor, so I'd say in his later years racing was what he was really all about.
