exhaust pipe ?

so, where is the thread on using mustang tailpipes on a cougar
or bird and the fit and or problems i will run into on my 88
XR7?am ordering the 2-1/4 pipes tomorrow and getting rid of the 1-7/8
ones i just put on. how much length will need to be added?
any other problems ill run into. already have the mustang
headers, cats, pipes, and correct dynomax lers[w/rear brackets]
hoping the bigger tailpipes will make it less quiet.
just forgot to bookmark the threads for the exhaust. i
remember vinnie and others had pics too. i am going to have
a friend make ss turndowns so it looks factory from the back.
he did that on the smaller pipes too.--:
got to put in the MK7 fuel pump and should be ready for the
winter HO [no, the 5.0 kind] dump in and a little underhood
spiff up. :D
OOPS-if this should elswhere please move it- was thinking
engine related.

I have 2 1/2 inch Stang tailpipes.I had to add a few inches of pipe ,but can't remember how much. It'll probably depend on what kind of tips you use.

I have 2.5" Stang tails on mine. They are ~6" too short so I had to lengthen them.
