Quick...

And very novice question, lol.
I dunno whats going on, but I absolutely cannot think straight lately~Maybe it's the heat wave. :flame:

Anyway,
What direction does the clutch fan/water pump pulley spin on a V8, and what direction does it spin on a V6?
And also, Is the mechanical fan setup as a pusher or puller on the v6 and v8.

I need to know if theres something very weird with my water pump has been setup, Or if i'm just out of my mind. (Both?) :hick:

Depends on which side of the belt drives the pulley... On the Tbird, LSC & Stang 5.0, it's counter clockwise as it's from the back(smooth) side... The full size 5.0s drive the pump from the ribbed inside, so are clockwise rotation... Mixing pumps/blades from the two systems is a big no no...

BTW I'm talking serpentine belt, all "V" belts are clockwise...

AFIK ALL stock water pump driven fans are pullers... Would be awfully hard to push air through the radiator at 60-70 mph...
