TV kickdown cable question

I've been reading on coolcats about the problem with the kickdown cable grommet, now i was wondering has anyone ever replaced theirs? And where the heck is it? I must be blind becuse i've looked all over the cables and cannot seem to find that bushing at all. my car is an 88 LS with the V-6.

I'm not sure if the V-6 is the same as the V-8 bushing but here's a pic.

EDIT: This is the upgraded brass bushing by the way.

I'm not sure it would be in exactly the same place as my 88 Cougar V8.  I too became interested after reading posts on CoolCats.  I had just bought the car and it wasn't shifting properly.

On mine it was located directly under where the black plastic air intake leaving the air filter box meets the metal throttle body.  It hooked into a triangular plate and worked in conjuction with the throttle linkage.  Hard to see without looking under  the intake.  My grommet was gone and the cable just hanging there.  Bought the brass grommet kit from the local Ford parts dept.  It was in stock and way overpriced at eight bucks.  I choose to loosen the hose clamps and pull the plastic intake  tube just so I could better see what I was doing and lessen the chances of dropping the retaining clip.  Took about 3 minutes.  Luckily the transmission hadn't suffered any damage and is now shifting correctly and kicks down on demand.
