bolt down roller rocker ? July 01, 2008, 09:10:40 AM seeing that the cobra rr's are 1.7 whats the bestbrand you guys are using for the non adj bolt on1.6 rr's. this is for a stock HO motor and i assumethey will clear the covers ? dont want to go 1.7'sbecause of more lift and it will probably screw upthe speed density computer and system which iwill be keeping. thanks! --irv Quote Selected

bolt down roller rocker ? Reply #2 – July 01, 2008, 10:59:16 AM Will not make any difference to the speed density(did it to mine before i went mass) going 1.7 cobra rockers on your car.You will gain about .027-.030" lift at the valve(stock ho cam .444/1.6-.474/1.7) and your duration will not change. You will still maintain good vacuum and idle therefore your eec will be fine plus it will give you a few extra ponies. bolt down roller rocker ? Reply #3 – July 01, 2008, 02:12:46 PM wouldnt going from a .445 lift to .472 be quite a jumpfor a stock motor with an aod. wouldnt the car loselow end. you also would gain some duration too iwould think. maybe im overthinking this. i did this tomy 93 F150 and it ran fine . kind of hunted at idlebut other than that it was o k. i just dont want tolose the driveability. maybe i should just leave it alone.thought it will cut down on valve wear.thanks--irv Quote Selected
bolt down roller rocker ? Reply #4 – July 01, 2008, 05:32:35 PM I used the 1.7 Cobras on a 86 speed density 5.0 Stang and it was fine... Converted to Mass Air and it slowed down, converted back, kept the 1.7s in place... Quote Selected
bolt down roller rocker ? Reply #5 – July 01, 2008, 09:20:15 PM It will be fine,.030 is not a huge amount.Your still way under .500" lift and you will still have lots of torque and vacuum. Quote Selected
