Outside door handle: pull-out like bmw, mercedes?

Ok, so I used to be totally into the shaved look but have since 'refined' my taste and have started going more toward the factory or modified factory (ie: svt, etc...) look.  I'm looking toward to the next couple years which will hopefully cover body, engine bay hole filling, etc... and paint.  The average fox door handle is often worn out, feels junky and (as I'm told by MANY passengers) is very hard to pull - they always say "it's locked."  So, I was thinking of possibly trying to scavenge some pull handles.  Something like this perhaps:

I don't mind modifying the mechanism and doing the body work to incorporate them.  I'd probably remove the key hole on the outside as well (alarm to unlock, hidden mechanical door pop in case the battery dies)...  just a thought.  It may sound crazy, or ugly...idk  Any input?

THe S197 Mustang handles are basically the same setup as you have pictured.... A common problem with them is that they won't return into position after you've pulled on them and let go.  I.E they get worn out and stick out.  They are easy enough to push back in....  No issues with mine...YET.

Many cars that use this setup have no keyhole on the passenger side handle...

interesting!  you're right...  I didn't think of the stanger bangers!  My buddies passenger side handle does that.  I'm going to look at the whole unit at the JY this weekend...  I know they have a couple 197's but they may have no doors...  lol
