A pointless Sport update....

Well,I was about to go buy my clutch kit (all I need to get the 5 speed in the car),when my brakes started feeling squishy.I checked everything,and the rear brake line on the passenger side was leaking.I replaced the rear lines,and the junction block was plugged up and wouldn't allow fluid to go through it to the wheels (brakes),so,I happened to have a spare in the garage and replaced that as well.Now we're in business.After we started bleeding the brakes,the pedal was feeling good when it went to the floor all of the sudden.....front passenger brake line ruptured.I call Autozone,they get me two lines.They were the wrong kind.SOoooo.The car is up on jack stands waiting for me to get the right parts.Tomorrow,all of the new lines SHOULD be installed and brakes should stop the car again.....I hope.I am going to check out a new boneyard tomorrow on my way to my Grandmother's house and hopefully I'll find the elusive front fender I need,along with cool parts that will make me rich.LOL.There's my long,drawn out,pointless Sport update.

Pretty much every panel on my 87 is new, rebuilt, or re constructed. :D

Oh no,NOT on the road.The Sport is on the driveway,raised up on jack stands,with brake fluid all over my front tire.I would've taken a couple of pics,but,I didn't want you guys to fall asleep at the computer.Busted lines,messy driveway.After the work,Dawn dish soap,scrub brush,and water hose to keep my sweetie happy.I have no worries.After everything else that's been done to the car,what's a few little brake lines?LOL.

By the way,I'll take a couple of pics as well during the work so you can see me getting my hands dirty.Well,I'll have gloves on,but you know what I mean.

cant wait till yours had the 5speed also....it made my SO seem ballsy. then again i have a freak of nature under my hood.

it'll feel better all of us will tell ya the same. sotp difference, especially in a empty parkinglot... the little lady learned that today with my bird. slid it around in 2nd, caught 3rd sideways and was rollin in 4th.

its a BEAST. but then again being used to the cougar and its whopping 150hp and a cruiser feel, the bird is quicker.

updates updates updates !! and some pics when youre done.

I'm leaving for my Grandmother's in about an hour,but when I get home,I'll update and have a few pics.Stay tuned.I'm sure with the 5 speed,my Sport should be really aggressive.It is now,but with the E303 and other mods,and that py stock torque converter in my tranny (with a shift kit),I'm not getting full use of my horsepower.I'll be back later.

Some kind of pics are coming today.I went to see my grandmother and forgot about pics when I got home.I replaced the front lines,bleeder valves and fluid.I still have to bleed the brakes,though.

It's been raining.I haven't forgotten.Pics of the car as a whole coming soon.It needs a lot of love to get ready for paint.....and a fender.Getting closer every week.I'm a rear main seal and clutch kit away from a 5 speed as well.
