4 lug 16x8 rims that will clear my front fenders?

Hey guys I currently am running a set of ATP mustang rims (no longer made and I now know why) . Unless I extensively modify my front fenders, which are shiznit anyway, I will not be able to lower my car. So right now I'm looking for suggestions as far as 16x8 rims go that will clear the front fenders of an 1987 T-bird. :punchballs: :punchballs: :punchballs: :punchballs: :punchballs: :punchballs: :punchballs:

You will need wheels with a 36mm offset or close to that so you dont have clearance issues

So does that mean I can run under 36mm? or do I need to run around 36mm so that it looks right?

less than 36 may have rubbing on the fenders. The wheels that are in my signature are 18x9 with a 25mm offset and there was rubbing but the the new wheels I just purchased are 18x8 up front so I did not need as much offset because the wheels are not as wide. My offset now is 40mm on the front but I am adding a spacer of .625" so my total offset will be 24mm. The way I figured out exactly what I needed was to jack up the car and put a straight edge on the surface of the rotor where the rim bolts to and measure to the inside of the fender lip. You must have the weight of the car on the control arms so I would put jack stands under the control arms before you take your measurements. Your measurements may differ from mine because I have SN-95 spindles up front and ford racing lowering springs. This way you know exactly what will work and your not just guessing.

The picture below is an 18x8 wheel with 40mm offset and no spacer installed

Thanks Andrew, but I just thought of a better question to ask.

Would 16X8 4 lug cobra R's clear the fenders if I chose to lower the car? I know everybody is doing it, but I tried to be different and look where it got me.
