I replaced plugs from 2017 and went after the driver's door lock actuator (94 Crown Vic stock)

The funny thing is that I replaced the actuator with an original 87 lock from a car that I parted 10 years ago.

I washed the car and sprayed down the motor.

Bad plan.

When I started the car, the RPMs went to 3,000 and would not come down.

Yep, water in that Rock Auto, throttle positioning sensor I bought in 2021.

In the corner of my shop is a 1987 Crown Vic motor that may be used one day.

Robbed the part off and back in business right away.

I wonder if the aftermarket one will dry out or is it garbage.

If it shorted from water it is probably bad.
