Removing unnecessary electrical related components?

Well the 302 is coming out for a rebuild. A mile away from the house I developed some bad rod knock. Thank god I didn't run her at the track, I wouldn't have made it home.

While the motor is removed, I want to remove ALL unnecessary stuff.

AC will not be in the car, and I DO want all of my gauges to work. I just want it clean underhood. So, who's going to be the one to shed light on this situation?

remove all the red, blue, and pink wires.
