Guys
Notice how she says "I'll let Roger know about this so WE can get it fixed right away"

That’s funny, what a coincidence "WE" is also my wife’s pet name for ME.

We are going to do this, We are going to do that... yet when the time comes SHE is nowhere around.
lol.  i know what you mean.

Ummm RJ, since when is a scratch considered a car accident?

Did you do it on purpose? :shakeass::evilgrin:

The best brush I have found for touch up is the torn side of a paper match.  Trick I learn from my dad.

Don't think insurance will cover it, if you run over something.  It will if it flies out of nowhere and hits you.  For example if you run over a ladder in the middle of the freeway you are out of luck.  But if the ladder falls off a truck and hits you then they will cover it.

To make you feel better I hit my T-bird with my mini van last year.  I was backing up and turned a bit too sharp;  rammed the front bummer of the van right into the side of the T-bird.  Did not make me feel any better that it was dark and the T-bird is black, but I used this for my excuse.

Oh shiznit, that made me laugh out loud, literally :rollin::rollin::rollin:

Don't feel bad, Karen - we've all done stupid things with/to our cars. A few months after I started working at the Saturn dealership (back in 1993 - God, I feel old) I left the Christmas "decorating party" (where we decorated the dealership). It had started snowing, and of course the rear defrost in my '85 T-Bird didn't work (terminal pulled off glass - bet none of you four-eye owners have ever seen that), so even though I had cleared off the rear window, I couldn't see. While sitting in the car waiting for it to warm up one of the salesmen pulled his SW2 demo car up behind my T-Bird, and when I shifted into reverse (carbureted car, still on fast idle) I plowed arse first into the driver's door of his car. It was the most sickening sound I ever heard, and when I got out I was horrified to see a basketball-sized hole in the so-called "Dent resistant polymer panels". I thought for sure I'd just gotten myself fired, but the owner of the dealership said "Don't worry about it". He actually put the thing through warranty - called it a "stress crack" :hick: I ended up with a busted tail light.

That was accident, btw, was #1 of three in three days in that poor ol' Bird. #2 was the following day, when I T-boned a pizza driver doing an illegal U-turn. It was snowing, so speeds were low. I dented a fender. Pizza guy gave me a pizza and $100 (after initially denying fault - he claimed I was at fault because all four of his wheels were on the ground). #3 was the day after that, when I was entering the parking lot at work and another salesman started backing his demo out of a spot. I stopped to let him out - I wanted the spot myself - and he backed right into me. Broke the front corner light on the 'Bird. Because I had gotten away with busting the Saturn a few days earlier I didn't even try to get the dealership to pay...

Well Karen IF you did scratch that car on purpose,:nkhk: :screwy:  (which I HIGHLY doubt, hence the ACCIDENT part) then you dont deserve to be driving a nice cougar like that and need to go back to your caravan....  :flip: :nono:  :hick: :D

I doubt it is that bad, lets see some pics so we know what kind of repairs need to be made.

If its the only scratch then pay someone to fix it.  We have this guy that comes every Monday and fixes scratches and dents in our used cars (and some of the new ones with the junk Chevy sends now a days, or the fact the idiot truck drivers who can't back a car off a transport.) every monday..  He could make it invisible.

Rj, of course I didn't scratch it on purpose, however a scratch is not a car accident in my book. Like I said I haven't had any car accidents....I'm pretty sure everyone knew what I meant.

Actually Jim.... I would do it myself, however, my husband is the type who thinks that shouldn't have to work on cars or run power tools. :shakeass:

I was just giving you some . That’s the same way things work around here also. I talk tough but I also know my place, I would give Leanne the "equal rights speech" then she would just blank stare me (if she even listened at all) or just say “oh you’re so cute when ya get all tough like that” then I would just go fix the scratch.
